The Inward Journey Home

In your heart and mind and spirit, in the very center of the whirl of life around you, THERE IS A PLACE YOU CAN COME HOME TO. But you cannot find it by going outward, by looking for a new house or waiting to fix up your present one. Being "at home" is a journey inward. It is a perception of a clear, nurturing space within you. And it's also a special, valued space in loved ones, co-workers and friends that each of us can learn to support and appreciate.

The Man in the Glass

When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day,
Just go to a mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that man has to say.

For it isn't your father or mother or wife,
Whose judgement upon you must pass;
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one starring back from the glass.

He's the fellow to please, never mind all the rest.
For he's with you clear up to the end,
And you've passed the most dangerous, difficult test
If the man in the glass is your friend.

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years.
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be the heartaches and tears
If you've cheated the man in the glass.

The Woman in the Glass

When you get what you want in your struggle for self,
and the world makes you queen for a day,
Just go to a mirror and look at yourself,
and see what that woman has to say.

Some people may think you a straight-shootin' chum,
And call you a person of place,
But the woman in the glass says you're only a bum
if you can't look her straight in the face.

She's the woman to please, never mind all the rest,
For she's with you clear up to the end,
And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test,
If the woman in the glass is your friend.

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be heartaches and tears,
If you've cheated the woman in the glass!

The Power to Make Myself Happy or Unhappy Today!

"I not events , have the power to make myself happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be.

1.)  I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.

2.)  No man is worth your tears, and the one who is ,won't make you cry.

3.)  Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have

4.)  A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

5.)  The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them  knowing you can't have them.

6.)  Never frown, even when your are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.

7.)   To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

8.)   Don't waste your time on a man/woman, who isn't willing to waste their time on you

9.)   Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.

10.)   Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

11.)   There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.

12.)   Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.

13.)   Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.
